How to collect useful user feedback in an iOS app
Good feedback collection is not just adding a text box. The goal is to capture enough context to make product decisions without interrupting the user experience.
1. Decide what kind of feedback you need
Separate feature requests, usability problems, bugs and general comments before everything lands in one inbox.
2. Put the entry point where users can find it
Settings, Help and product menus work well for intentional feedback; contextual entry points can work near specific features.
3. Reduce duplicate feature requests
Show existing requests before creating a new one and let users vote on ideas they also need.
4. Close the loop
Let users see whether a request is under review, planned, in progress or completed.
